Our Mission

To preserve the horse's cultural significance and to advance equestrian sports on its terms.

Vision and Purpose

The Professor Ingvar Fredricson Foundation works to ensure that well-proven experience and the latest research are translated into practical benefits for horses—supporting their welfare, health, durability, and performance. The Foundation also highlights the horse’s historical role as a bearer of culture.

We promote accessible, science-based knowledge across the equine community through seminars, clinics, and publications in professional journals and book form. Our work spans genetics, breeding, reproduction, rearing, training, competition, and horsemanship, grounded in both research and long-standing practical experience.

Each year, the Foundation awards a scholarship to an individual or organization whose work advances this mission. Through this support, we help bring meaningful projects to life that contribute to improved horse welfare and the continued development of equestrian sport.
